NEKOD Joins Plug and Play in Silicon Valley
NEKOD is joining Plug and Play in Silicon Valley. Here's what the Amsterdam to Bay Area bridge means for how we build enterprise AI governance at scale.

NEKOD is joining Plug and Play, one of the most active global accelerators, with a dense network of corporate partners and a long track record of backing early-stage enterprise software. This is our Bay Area base.
Why Silicon Valley, and why now
NEKOD is built in Amsterdam. Our first anchor programme was the ABN AMRO and Techstars Future of Finance accelerator. Europe is where we started and where we're proving the product in regulated environments, with the compliance bar set by DORA, GDPR, and the EU AI Act.
The Bay Area is where our category is being defined. Lovable, Replit, Cursor, V0, Bolt, Claude. The platforms fueling vibe coding are largely headquartered in San Francisco. The enterprises most aggressive about adopting these platforms are in the same orbit. Plug and Play puts us inside that conversation at the product, capital, and distribution layers.
What Plug and Play does for NEKOD
Three things matter:
Corporate access. Plug and Play runs one of the widest enterprise partnership programmes in the accelerator world. For a governance platform, access to enterprise CIOs, CISOs, and innovation leads is the shortest path from product to pilot.
Capital. Plug and Play invests directly and opens doors to a co-investor network that has funded thousands of companies. For a pre-seed company building into enterprise, this is the kind of partner that unlocks the next round.
Distribution. Their programmes in Sunnyvale, San Francisco, and across the US drop us into a dense network of founders and operators who have built the enterprise software playbook before.
The Amsterdam to Bay Area bridge
Our thesis: the next generation of software companies will be built by people who don't write code, governed by a layer that does. That thesis needs Europe's regulatory rigour and the Bay Area's speed of adoption in the same company.
NEKOD runs GDPR, DORA, and EU AI Act checks in production. We also scan the same Lovable app a San Francisco solopreneur built last weekend. Same platform, two completely different risk profiles, one assessment engine that understands context. That's the whole product. We wrote about how we practice what we preach in We Built nekod.co with Claude Code: Then Scanned It Ourselves.
