Every app your claims, underwriting and actuarial teams build with AI, checked before it touches policyholder data

Claims, underwriting and actuarial teams build applications with AI. NEKOD lists each one, checks it against your own policy, and sends the ones that touch pricing, reserves or claims decisions to the right reviewer, with a record for your key functions.

Where NEKOD fits in your teams' work

Claims, underwriting and actuarial teams already build with AI. Pick a workflow to see an example app, the checks your policy sets and who signs it off.

Checked against your policy

  • Decision logic documented, with a human sign-off step, passed
  • Policyholder data stays in approved services, passed
  • Fairness review recorded, needs a fix

Signs off

Owner and business head, with actuarial function sign-off. Models add 2nd-line validation

Next step

1 fix first. The builder gets a fix prompt for their own AI tool.

Let your teams build, with approval you can show

  • Every app listed

Every application your teams build, in one inventory, each with an owner.

  • Material apps get a closer look

Apps that touch pricing, reserving or claims decisions get the full set of checks.

  • The right sign-off

Your actuarial, risk and compliance functions approve only the applications they own.

  • Evidence for supervisors

A recorded approval and the evidence behind it, ready for internal audit and your supervisor.

Reports use your terms: Solvency II, EUC policy, Key functions, Actuarial function, Model risk, DORA, EU AI Act, GDPR. NEKOD checks applications against your own policy and does not certify against any framework.

Why NEKOD fits insurers

We don't add another review queue. Your teams get a clear path from building to approval, and you keep the record.

  1. 01

Your policy, not a generic checklist

NEKOD checks each application against the rules you wrote. You edit a rule and check again.

  2. 02

    Checks in proportion to risk

A personal helper and a customer-facing app don't get the same checks. Your tiers decide, and the right person signs off.

  3. 03

    Teams keep their tools

Builders get findings in plain language and a fix prompt for the AI tool they already use, including through MCP in Cursor, Claude and Lovable.

  4. 04

    Evidence you can show

Each approval is recorded with the evidence behind it. Data stays read-only by default and is hosted in the EU.

Frequently Asked Questions

Apps that touch pricing, underwriting, reserving or claims decisions, or that feed Solvency II reporting, usually need the closest review. NEKOD runs the full set of checks on these apps and sends them to the approvers your policy names, such as the actuarial function.

NEKOD shows what policyholder data each app reads and where it sends it, and checks that the data stays in the services your policy approves. An app that sends policyholder data to an unapproved service fails that check and goes back to the builder with a fix.

Yes. If your policy requires a fairness review or an actuarial validation, NEKOD makes it a check, shows whether the record exists, and keeps the approver's decision with the evidence. NEKOD does not perform the review or the validation itself.

NEKOD gives risk, actuarial and compliance functions one inventory and a recorded approval for each app they own. Internal audit and supervisors can see the owner, the checks against your policy and the decision. NEKOD does not certify compliance with any regulation.

No. NEKOD lets claims, underwriting and actuarial teams keep building with AI. Light apps need only the owner's sign-off, and the full checks apply to the few apps that touch pricing, reserves or claims decisions.

NEKOD has an ISO 27001 and GDPR programme in progress and holds no certification. NEKOD is not a certification body. It checks applications against your own policies and records the evidence.

A pilot starts with one team and about five applications. NEKOD connects to the repositories you choose, checks each application against your policies, and shows the portfolio to the CISO and the Centre of Excellence. You agree the success test up front, for example applications approved with evidence, without waiting on scarce engineers.
